A delegation from Netherlands who are partners with KNUST in the construction of the Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies (CEDRES) has paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, Professor William O. Ellis, to affirm partnership with the University.
The Vice-Chancellor acknowledged the Netherlands for their immense contribution towards the University.He briefed the delegation on the history of the University where he stated that, the University was poised in training entrepreneurs through the Collegiate system of education. He commended the Netherlands for broadening the knowledge base of students who partake in internships and student exchanges in their country.
Prof. Ellis elaborated on the importance of creating opportunities for the physically-challenged in society and that, building the Centre for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies (CEDRES) has made KNUST an academic destination for the disabled in the society.
Aguta Mur of Hogeschool Leiden, a University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands, underscored the importance of networking and the benefits both parties derive from such partnerships. He spoke on the need for sustainability and opportunities to enhance and expand the network base of the institutions involved in the partnership.
The delegation was made up of Drainique Hoozemans, Piel-Hein von dee Plog, Noe Vumolen, Arie Van Kooten and Ans Voordouw, all from Hogeschool Leiden, Netherlands
